entertaining for the 300,000 +/- employees of the Bank. So go on,

all reality – do not effect BB&T Corporation.

I have read this several times,and I am convinced there must be a trainning class for BB&T employees In how to present themselfs as unprofessional.That same attitude in in ther Sanford Offices
That college education is sure paying off for her!, From the way she counts she must be the one that does the nightly audits! No wonder the accounts stay screwed up! LOL
Attempted to refinance home loan with BB&T. FICOs of 785+. Limited debt. Ample income. In short, great candidates for refinance to shorten term and reduce rate. Agent at BB&T took days to respond to each inquiry. Time ran short. Rate lock was set to expire. BB&T then worked very hard in that last 3 business days to get everything finished. In the end, I was unhappy with this lethargic approach so I told them to go eat one. Refinanced with the Bank of Condomville with a great rate. It wasn’t very hard (at first). With a little coaxing it got there.
I was at BB&T today and they were very rude and argumentative. These people have forgotten whose money they are handling. They work for us. We are paying them. They have gotten too big and thank we owe them something. Well, we don’t. We owe them a kick in the rear. Everyone should take their money out and go to another bank! When I went to the bank, they acted like the problem was my fault and it was their fault! They were supposed to stop payment on a check and charged me 34.00 dollars and cashed the check anyway. Then they said it was an electronic transfer. I told them that I did not authorize an electronic transfer and that it was a check. The “woman” that was helping me was an auditor for the company and was a real smart ass bitch! The company doesn’t care about its customers, only about ripping off as many people as it can. They have become greedy bastards and I hope everyone closes their account with them and goes to a credit union or small town bank.

I have brought this site to the attention of a SR Vice President of BB&T. I hope that he will take the time to look at this part in particular and realize the light that this young lady has portrayed on the company. Regardless of the entire picture, it is my hope that this young lady will find herself unemployed, in short order.

To: BB&T SUCKS.COM; I am a successful custom home builder in the Atlanta area. I have been a customer of BB&T for over 16 years, via BB&T’s acquisition of Mainstreet Bank. I was considered an A rated customer and had numerous banks positioning to loan my companies over $27 million dollars in construction and development loans. I run my companies on the conservation side and therefore have been able to survive ( so far ) this horrible housing market. BB&T has been, by far, the worst bank that I have “ever” dealt with. My reward for paying them, millions of dollars in interest, is to be treated as merely a debtor.. Yes, I am no longer a customer, I am merely a debtor to the bank. Construction loans are short term notes that generally expire in 12 months to 18 months. All of my other banks recognize the market is an unforeseen and unprecedented event and renew the notes without incident, nor fees, as long as they are paid on time. The other banks appreciate an old school business attitude I have. I believe in trying to do the right thing and my intent is to pay every dime of monies I have borrowed.
The problem with BB&T is that, even when a loan is stable, when they still have plenty of equity, I am paying my interest, etc.., they want more… Instead of treating me as a “banking partner”, as they used to say, they treat me as the daily trash. My reward is to be charged 1% renewal fees on top of doubling my interest rates on my loans. They are able to use their back breaking tactics, since we are “renewing” the loans. To make matters worse, they have made me go through this ordeal every three months. So every three months I get to pay their ransom ( as the say renew with our terms or we foreclose ), pay their renewal fees, pay them their interest and suffer their constant delay tactics and lies.. This bank is an American disgrace!! Every American deserves better than this. They took three billion in TARP money from me and you, under the pretense that they would lend money. What a freakin joke! This bank just became more powerful and became less motivated to work with their customers, that were in need. This bank will fall, big, one day. I will be cheering and dancing in the streets when this piece of shit bank fails.

As of 2 weeks ago, I no longer work for BB&T. Actually got terminated for excessive tardiness, but get this: had been there 11 years late several times but no more than 30 minutes, never was written up until a few months ago after I started questioning the “boss” about her managing abilities. Yes, yes, hindsight is 20 20, but I’m not one to keep my mouth shut. I had been unhappy there for several years due to the recent corporate changes and operational practices. Yes, BB&T is out to make money. If you don’t have over $25,000 on deposit there, I wouldn’t bank there. They will find a way to squeeze in a fee. No, it’s not a government agency and shouldn’t be looked at that way, but come on, make money on interest and debit card interchange, not on playing tricks with your client’s money. The goal is to help the clients, not hurt them. they have those employees so brainwashed, poor Holly, she will see the light one day when they treat her like they treated me. They use you, work the crap out of you, but as soon as you show you’re human and stand up for yourself then they hang you out to dry. They don’t know a good employee when they see one. (Say what you will about grammar, this is not a freaking English test. I am no longer working so I could care less if this venting is spelled right.) Who cares?
i am a current bb&t employee and i do not find this article hard to believe at all…. while enjoying the knowledge I’ve acquired in my position.. my coworkers, I could do without. They are very judgemental and very small minded. Ive witnessed them hire a young lady at a level II position, making over 30k a year, straight out of college with a degree, that is awesome and kudos to her, however, had virtually no experience for the position she was given , .. over another candidate whom was later brough in as a level one (b/t 23&27 a year) whom had over 15 years experience with another financial institution in the exact field.. wow. I strongly believe race played a huge issue in that, and refuse to believe any different. The college grad was also friends with the manager’s daughter might i add. Also, i had been refused several attempts to bid on higher levels within by department, however others with no experience were and continue to be brought in over me. I am livid over that , due to, half the time, I’m assisting them with resolving complex issues or having to re-work their cases where they’ve screwed up clients accounts. Management in other departments seem to believe that because of their title ,they can speak to you any type of way. however, I beg to differ and have virbally communicated this to them. I’ve learned to deal with the path that I chose for my life . Looking back I would have gone to a 4 year college rather than pursue cosmetology as I did. I still use that license everyday, however a regular 9to5 provides benefits for myself and my 2 daughters. I am a single mom by choice. I refused to marry my kids father just because he fathered my children. I’m a firm believer in “I can do bad by myself”… so the cheating and disrespect I eliminated. It’s a struggle, however the best gift I can give to my girls is to show them not to settle. And also, always have a piece of mind knowing that you don’t have to depend on anyone. Love will come, and then you build ~together. I can talk all day
, but my point is… BB&T is big on color and paper. If you are “white” with a degree you are “qualified ” for a position.. the fact that you have no common sense , morals or experience does not matter. I’m very intelligent, I know my job and also take on the role of higher levels. Was even selected by management , to be the “only” contact /or “go to ” during their acquisition of Colonial. That should say something about my capabilities. But because I’m outspoken, and believe that an adminstrative assistant should not be able to supervise a department making daily entries on gl accounts, Im wrong and not able to advance. huh , i think not. I think that your performance should do the talking. 
Its paying the bills now, so, I will continue to do the best on my position. Continue to make sure my clients accounts are handled, resolving any issues immediately,. If i am escorted from my desk because I tell an Operations Officer, that she is not my mother when she tells me that I need to shut up and listen when she calls me for help after she totally screwed up someones account and cost center .. then so be it. Your title does not dictate your knowledge. Your title in itself should be the very reason that you act professional at all times and display client service internally as well as externally. And until BB&T employees do away with their “uppity” way of thinking and deal with the diversity that comes along with the growth of this corporation… they are doomed to fail. all of that customer service excellence they preach, doesn’t mean anything if you treat your employees and co workers like crap. It only takes a second to say hello. we shoould learn to treat others as we like to be treated.
these people just terminated my friend. 8 years perfect performance record over 40 ERROR! Not theft error!!! they care nothing about people and won’t deny it. another too big to arrogant bank. support smaller banks that support small business.

Just like the Dems today… you are sinply wrong. I am currently moving 2 personal accounts and a business account to another bank because I have never dealt with such an obnoxious institution as BB&T. Geez, I even have to stop supporting poor Clint Bowyer (BB&T sponsored Nascar driver) over your banks crap. Get a life. I make more in a year than you will make in your pathetic lifetime. You bank will be eaten up by yet another bigger uglier bank and one of their employees will take your warm smelly seat while you pile your crap in a shoebox and head for the unemployment line. Obama should have let these big ugly banks fail, fail, fail. I miss the local community banks that cared. The ones that would be fighting for your business today instead of the crap BBT is doing. I am a former employee. I dissagree with the “white” race issue. I do think that it has to do with where u live but im from birmingham AL and i can tell you that i worked in an all black branch and i was the only white person. I was treated like totally shit. I did more work than any of them and i never recieved credit, they did. BB&T merged with colonial and all of the former colonial employees r so fucking stupid. They refuse to change to bb&t ways. i wish they would all realize that there is a reason that colonial went under lol god they r so stupid. Not working at bb&t has been a blessing. BB&T could care less what we all think. they will continue to be big and grow but just knowing that there other people out there that realize what a scam bb&t is, makes me feel so much better.if you work there, its only a matter of time before u r screwed over. good luck

This email does not surprise me at all. What a bitch to call out people who make 40k or below – but how right on to mention that BB&T does not care about them. And honey, guess what? They don’t care about your dumbass either. Wait until they find your mug and your ignorant comment plastered on this website. They will probably pull your personal acct, find somewhere you’ve messed up and fire you…even though, they just don’t like you being on here and that is the true reason they would like you dismissed. I am just surprised that Holly did not graduate from ECU – she sure writes like it and goodness!…BB&T loves a corn-fed ECU grad homegrown in Wilt-son. Let me guess!! Holly is an LDP candidate!!!! Awesome. They cannot get enough ignoramus, arrogant, and unqualified young people into that program. I once heard of a bunch of LDP candidates who got plastered at a hotel in Winston Salem – one of whom defecated on a bench in the hotel lobby – nice. Holly, get your facts straight before you write dumb emails to this website. You look exactly like the type of employee at BB&T who would never face what the people posting on here are facing, but it is real. Open your mind and look around you. Everything is not always as it seems. To read Holly’s activities, it would appear that she enjoys charities. I would encourage her to tap into that same place in her heart that drives her to give back and have some compassion for former employees and customers whose experiences were bad, were real, were unwarranted, were inappropriate, were unjustified and were unacceptable.
BB&T once upon a time took over first VA bank, I think maybe in 2003 or 2004. I had an auto loan through first VA , that was nearly paid off, that of course ended up at BB&T. I was late 4 days..not 30 plus 4 but four days into the grace period. ie, the due date was say the first and on the 5th they tried to send a guy to repo my car which I had put 30% down on and was worth more than what I owed. I blocked the car in and wouldn’t let him take it. Called the bank and paid the $375 repo fee to the repo man and the payment over the phone so the sharks would leave. The next week I rounded up the balance and paid the loan off (only about $1,000)
BB&T taught me a valuable lesson even though I did not make the loan with them to begin with. I have never darkened the door of a BB&T branch since.

To give a background of my issues-I switched from BB&T having my check direct deposited back several months ago, since BB&T had continual problems showing receipt of my pay check, even though my payroll company had indeed deposited said funds- I also was told during this time, that I was ONE MILLION DOLLARS OVERDRAWN I am sure you understand my hesitation to continue putting in monies/deposits in BB&T.
As you are aware, on Friday October 1, 2011, I came inside the branch office and proceeded to do a cash withdrawal from my Rapid Pay Debit Card of $440.00. The teller that handled the process was Betty Chaffee. She processed the transaction, but came back to the counter telling me that the transaction DID NOT GO THROUGH, and of course I received no money. We thought there may have been an error on my part, so we made another attempt this time for less money ($400) This did not go through as “declined”.
Thinking there MAY have been an error with my paycheck or any other problem, I went immediately to my computer at my office and found that Rapid Pay had indeed showed the transaction as going through, and that BB&T had showed that they had given me my money. I immediately called Rapid Pay and explained the situation, and they told me that I would need for BB&T to send a fax acknowledging the issue and that they did not get the money from the transaction. That BB&T in fact, “would also NOT process a purchase for this pre-authorization. If the purchase is completed we will accept charge back for the amount of sale. Please release the hold placed on Mrs. Baker’s account within 24 hours per customer service representative.”
On Sunday October 2, 2001 at 12:27pm there was a transaction by BB&T marked “unmatched -1220 Forced Post”. And the removed the $440.00 from my Rapid Pay card.
I called Joan Russell on Monday in response to this problem, and although she was very apologetic, she could not give me any answers. She told me she would call me back, she did not, so when I came to the branch at 4:30 pm, she had already left for the day. I called several times the next day and left messages, no call back. I came in at lunch time and Joan again, very apologetic, still had no answers for me. I did finally receive a call back at almost 5pm yesterday afternoon from Joan, explaining to me although she was very sorry there was nothing she could do. It would take 7-10 days for this to be rectified.
Now I know I am a small fish in your very big banking pond, but I am not stupid. I know that with a stroke of a key, this money can be returned to Rapid Pay, as I never received on dime from BB&T. I also know that if I was overdrawn at BB&T that you would charge me a minimum of $30 for each day I was overdrawn. I also have noted that AT NO TIME HAS BB&T EVER ADMITTED TO ANY MALFUNCTION OR ERROR ON THEIR PART. Now, I am concerned that since BB&T has done this when this week’s pay check is deposited to Rapid Pay, THEY will take my paycheck to cover YOUR MISTAKE. Quite frankly, this is not acceptable. So here are the steps I am taking.
1. I am making a formal complaint to the FDIC and to the State Attorney General Jim Scheider, and will post complaints online. If I have to (next week) I will take my vacation and picket as well.
2. I have retained the services of Donna Morgan, from Stevens, Morgan and Smithers (she is a personal friend for over 10 years, and knows that I did nothing wrong here)
3. I have an appointment with Channel 9 to give them all the particulars of the situation. (When I gave the brief synopsis- they WERE VERY INTERESTED)
And last, NAME WITHHELD ON THIS POST WILL BE REMOVING ALL PERSONAL AND BUSINESS ACCOUNTS. As of course I am immediately doing.
To stop this from happening BB&T MUST IMMEDIATELY resolve this situation, and not in 7-10 days. You have 24 hours, since my appointment with Channel 9 is tomorrow morning.
