With everything that is happening with Bank of America, smaller banks like BB&T should be quaking in their boots. I believe a class action lawsuit might be the solution as BB&T had/have the same "overdraft" policies that BoA had. I left Bank of America after being with them for over 20 years (I began with them, back when they were Nation's bank) and moved to BB&T - unfortunately, BB&T are guilty as well. I am now at credit union and have been there for over three years... I have not had one overdraft fee. Not one. I suggest that everyone move to a credit union. Preferably your own states, but if not, any credit union is better than the greed of the larger, middle sized and local branches of banks that do not seem to be held accountable unless a class action suit or litigation is brought against them.

What about an bank employee that was told to do something to an account and pretended she did but, didn't?She was told to remove a persons name off all my mothers assets and she pretended she did but, didn't . My son was working with this lady and he put my mothers money in cd's in his name first while he was power of attorney. My mother change him to me when I went and moved in with her and took care of her. My mother told this lady to remove him from all her assets and because she was in with my crooked son she took advantage of my mother. My mother was ill and she couldn't see good to read and she didn't read any paperwork she trusted her crooked grandson. My mother had in her will her assets be divided 3 ways. My son ended up with most all her money with the help of this women. My mother passed away Dec.31st 2009. She didn't explain to my mother she would have to redeposit her cd's or anything. My mother ask her how much money she had total and she wrote it down including the largest cd that my son got. Other family members including myself lost there inhertiance because of her being in with my crooked son. Two weeks after my mothers passing this lady transferred the cd to my son in Holt Mo. on a frozen account. I know legeally he got it and, that I can't change but, I do want this women fired for her actions. I would like a settlement for our loss and all the pain and suffering that we have been threw with this issue with her for almost a year and half. When I was able to go into my mothers account to pay for her funeral etc. I went to another BB&T Bank to do my business because of all the issues with her at the other bank. When the lady brought up my mothers account it said DO NOT ENTER THIS ACCOUNT BEFORE CONTACTING PAM THUMON> can they do that? The lady at the bank said it was against the law she couldn't do that. I have paid attorney fees and I can't pay anymore. I just want her fired!!! and her pay me or the bank. . Let her see how it feels to be ripped off your inhertiance. My family has been threw a lot of emotions and heart ache because of this women. Please just fire her. Even when I had the legal rights to speak for my mother she would not talk to me. This women needs to be fired and BB&T needs to be responsible for there actions and there employees actions. Also I had to go to the bank and get the interest from my mothers account because they didn't send it to me for fileing her taxes. Is that not against the law. You're suppose to have that information out in Jan. I also wrote a letter to the CEO and someone else sign for it.

I had BB&T tell me that Cash no longer counts as Cash in the account. Had them send me their policy booklet, which states that CASH is always IMMEDIATELY deposited into an account. Doesn't say only on business days, doesn't say only during the week, says that so long as you deposit CASH into their account it counts as cash. I had multiple overdraft fees pulled because I made a deposit in cash to their drive thru service since the lobby is closed on Saturday thinking that it had gone through (According to THEIR policies.) and into my account immediately. Monday I come to find out I've been charge over $300+ in overdraft fees because they held the cash as if it were a check!!! They refused to refund my money and offered to resend a policy pamphlet to my house. Read it again, only to see...guess what... CASH IS STILL CASH!!! They still refused to refund me.

I've been with BB&T for over 15 years, but I am leaving them forever. Absolute crooks and scammers. I have had so many issues with them taking money out of my account when I have a positive available balance, because they're "holding" charges. So I get hit with extra fees, and they hold the charges until they're able to charge me additional overdraft fees. I had never had a problem with them until the economy started getting bad and they started getting greedy. I've had to correct BB&T on overcharges in the past, but they were always quick to fix them. In the past year and a half, however, that's no longer the case. They change their policies to where the customer is no longer right. They charge you when they want, hold deposits until it suits them, then will hit you with charges as soon as you're low on funds.

I even had one of the Branch representatives tell me I was "Phishing" and trying to steal money from the bank. I was absolutely appalled that an employee of that organization would make such a slanderous remark about one of its customers. I got an apology from the Manager (over the phone) and was told that the girl who made the remark was "talked to", but that doesn't make up that she called me a thief and a criminal.

I hope somebody goes after them. I plan on joining in on the class action lawsuit if you guys do pursue it. I know many who would. Even my mother, who had multiple business, loans, and personal accounts with them for over the past 30-40 years is withdrawing her accounts. She has never had problems with them until the past year and a half. Even this past year they tried to say SHE was Phishing, after being with them for this long!!!! They seem to have no problem slandering their customers left and right.

We even had a girl from BB&T come into our office this morning (Trying to get us to stay with them.) and ADMIT that BB&T changed its policies without notifying customers, and that they're just trying to find new ways to get money since the government changed how they can charge overdraft fees. It's pretty bad when your employees laugh out loud in agreement when you say "I'm removing my account from BB&T because they always seem like they're trying to get money from me." She didn't deny it, so how can they!?

BB&T received 3 billion dollars in Tarp funds that allowed them to instantly improve their credit to debt ratio, and allowed them to have a stronger financial standing. This is what I need, and they will not give me any credit. So I think BB&T should be sued for crimes against humanity, pain and suffering. I think that covers it.
